Fingerprint Friday

I love Fingerprint Friday.
I think I need to do it more often.


most of my photos for this are outdoors somewhere.  aside from my kids, the "stuff" that make up my home are blessings, making life a little bit easier.  BUT they just don't compare to the beauty and awe I get from being outside.
there is something I connect with there that I don't get anywhere else.  I'm not a writer and am having a hard time finding the words ... maybe next Friday.

this day was a beautiful day and the sun snuck behind the clouds for a minute.  the size of the trees are bigger than enormous.  the clouds are so fluffy ... btw, I love clouds.


looking up into the sky, seeing this, I automatically begin to think of God ... since He's up there too somewhere.  does that make me sound like a kid - God is up & hell is down?  but it is .... :)

I haven't been on for awhile.  drama life is in full swing.

so I thought I'd come back alive, using a photo carnival/meme/thingy ... whatever they are called.

I can't help but envision God at work when I am outside.  when I am in nature, I see so much perfection, and its practically thrown in my face (in a good way!) that there is NO WAY it was accidental.

these pictures of taken in SoCal.  I am currently not in Hawaii, where everything [in nature] is more than perfect in paradise.  but there are beautiful things here too, of course.

April showers bring May flowers ... that transition from winter to spring is a strange time.  just when you think spring is here, it hails.  what?!

a baby, about to bloom.  so pretty.

after the rain.

it blows my mind how this cycle continues.

spring, life.

summer, growth.

fall, change.

winter, peace.

EVERY SINGLE detail has been thought of.  has been planned.  and its taken care of.  

now tell me, if its not God, who is it?!

no, don't answer that.  I'm not looking for another answer.

enjoy and be aware of your surroundings.

I love how ferns unroll like this to grow

details such as this, reminds me of what goes into creating something

whether its

the garnish on your dinner plate for better presentation

a painters way of signing their work

the way music is composed

or for me, the way a room is designed

or for our Creator

the specifics that make up each of us, let alone the plants and animals too

its in the details.

be aware of the details surrounding you

they are important to everyday miracles

These photos were taken at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu.  This place is amazing & so beautiful.

I was just driving by one day and caught a few shots.

Hawaii's nature, the animals on the ranch, the smell of the ocean breeze (which was literally across the street!) made these moments something to remember.  

I feel the most close to God when I am outside in nature

... and I always try to remember my camera!

Fingerprint Friday

God's creation continuously amazes me, and in Hawaii, its so easy to see such beauty.

its a paradise, after all.

my boys and I met a new friend yesterday ... fingerprint thursday maybe?

we found him just chillin' in the corner.  poor guy.  I'm sure he was clueless his fate would have him in the hands of little boys!  

they were soooooooo excited.  my oldest especially loves all bugs, insects, animals ... anything that moves, really.  its heaven for him.

our word for the morning was OBSERVE ... but still, he was thrown, tossed, poked at, screamed at, and dropped once or twice, but know that he was unharmed and made it out alive & well.  promise.  we've had other friends that weren't so lucky.

it blows my mind not only how all things were created, but also, what was created.  and although I'm curious to the design of this life and ALL those involved (this guy included), I'm at peace here & now know that all my questions will be answered when I'm in heaven with my Creator.  I can't wait to see & understand it all the way He does.

Fingerprint Friday was inspired by a Steven Curtis Chapman song -

to be honest, I have never heard this song ... but reading the words without the music is still pretty inspiring, no?  God's fingerprints are everywhere.  look around, take note, and be thankful.

Does this ever get old?  not to me!

somehow when the rays of sunshine pass through the clouds like this, its such a good reminder how much went into making this place; not that it was hard for Him.  maybe it was just the snap of His fingers.  but don't overlook that simple fact, He put it together.  He put it ALL together.  

When nature offers beauty like this, how can you possibly think all you see is one big accident?
